lost in the mud drifting the gnarled hairy forest of grotesque fleeting glimpses dark corners sprouting pitted brown teeth in fractured time as small furry whatevers multiply in the pungent pits where sweat soaked pulsing veins beat frantic rhythm to the hiss of another round of stale blood returning to the pumping muscle strobe lit sinus putty cakes the crack in the tile where flakes of dead skin soak up the mist the dimpled worm probes the damp well where the filling used to be as microscopic bubbles traverse the jittering pupil in dreamlike motion I sit and my toenails curl lost in the mud writhing serpentine follicles encrust the acne pocked leather meat bubble as aging molars grind to paste dead material sustenance in the skull bone house of a brain distracted by something other than else songs of hunger bubbled and growled in primal tongues vibrate the umbilical memorial pit as elsewhere muscles and cartilage twist into another headache shaved brains wince in the stark fluorescent light at the dayglo mind pollution of deafening nothingness enchanting rectangular soul vacuums parasite the aimless majority as I sit and my toenails curl thank you

about

Oscar the Band Melbourne, Australia

Oscar the Band craft pseudo-jazz, junk funk and anti-pop with a keen sense of the inappropriate. Started in late 2000 as a 2 piece featuring guitar and trumpet, we got our name with the addition of a drummer who, not owning a kit, played rubbish bins.
